But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

well, it looks like you quoted all of my comments already. gosh, so pink... i'm embarassed to be seen here... =P

and stop worrying already. there's guaranteed housing, so you WILL have a place to live. the only thing you should worry about is getting rid of all this pinkness.

hey... i wasn't beat up... not really, anyways. so ok, here's a story. but i'm warning you, i'm horrible at telling stories. alright, so thursday was the most pain i've experienced while playing bball in quite a long while. i was there for like 4, 5 hours... but this time, i had no xc to back me up. haha... and as if that weren't enough, i got knocked around quite a bit. first, someone deflected a pass while i was trying to intercept it and it knocked me in the jaw pretty hard. i've never been punched in the face before, but i'd imagine that's what it feels like. for like the next 5 minutes, i couldn't feel the bottom of face, which was a rather interesting feeling. then a couple minutes later, i stole the ball from someone, but they ended up landing on my head... which wasn't too pleasent either. so now my jaw is still hurting... gosh, i can't chew or yawn without my mouth hurting... darnit! my 2 favorite pasttimes!! haha.. i'm kidding. hehe... sorry, i'm having this mental picture of ppl yawning and chewing at the same time. eww, that's pretty gross actually...

so see? i wasnt' beat up! it just felt like i was....

oh, and from wednesday morning until saturday afternoon, i only got 5 or so hours of sleep. total. i didn't think that could be done, considering how much i love sleep. i mean, i 've never pulled an all nighter before... if i had to choose btwn finishing hmwk due the next day or getting a couple hours of sleep, i'd choose sleep. well, for those of you who can actually pull all-nighters, good for you. i'm not suggesting that you not do your hmwk... i'm not trying to set a bad example or anything, but i need sleep. =P so anyways... wednesday night, i slept 2 hours cuz i had a CS exam to study for. and from then on, i stayed up to play. =D

yeah, it was the last couple days of my freshman year, and i guess i didnt' want to miss it. besides, i had to say goodbye to the people who were leaving early in the morning. unfortunately, they left sporadically throughout the morning, so i guess i just stayed up through it all. and then friday night, i couldn't sleep at all cuz i had to pack all my junk. omyyy... there was a LOT to pack...

note to incoming freshmen: you WILL overpack. and you WILL bring too much. that's a given. =P but try to limit it. anyways... the less you overpack, the easier it will be when you hafta move out at the end of the year. gosh, i brought soo much stuff i didnt' need. and then i collected a random assortment of stuff throughout the year. next year, all i'm bringing are bedsheets, my computer, and a couple hoodies. just kidding. but yeah, i'm definitely not packing as much stuff....

i always feel so out of place when i'm home. "home." eh, i dunno what to call this place. and it feels so weird how my first year at college ended so quickly. hahaha.. you HS ppl are still at school. j/k. enjoy it while it lasts. so how are them APs goin for you all?

ala=dream ara=thunder. hence the 2 A's in the name. and yeah, it'd be a cool name. is it too femenine for a guy? haha.... hmm, have any of you thought about what you'd name your kids? just a thought...

i was skimming over the blogs and i saw will's link in big blue boldprint "click here for pictures of Alaara" it really stands out and i was like, "woah! will has a girlfriend named Alaara?? and he wants everyone to see pics of her? woohoo!" and then i read it and saw that it was a plane. but planes are cool too!

i think the ap people were on drugs when they wrote the open-ended section.

during the english ap i had vanessa carlton stuck in my head. and the sad thing is, i was singing it in my head writing a bloody stinking essay..and i caught myself smiling to myself.

oh well- no more aps for me! i'm pretty much done...western civ presentation friday, english discussion leading in june. that's about it! 29 days left of school! i'm kind of sad. time goes way too fast, i wish this year went by a little bit more slowly. ok that's it for now, bye!

mm...i hope aps really are overrated. i have my first ever ap exam on friday! oh, and plus, i found out today i can't get into the ap english class for next year. which i'm really angry about. very. very. angry. i feel like i deserve it because 1. it's my favorite subject. 2. i do really well in it. 3. i have the grades to get in. 4. i really want to be in the class. so i think i should be able to take it. its ironic the way i feel, because today in psych we learned about "just-world phenomenon," which according to meyers (the wonderful, incredible man who wrote my textbook) is defined as "the tendency of people to believe the world is just and that people therefore get what they deserve and deserve what they get." when i read that, i was like, "wow, i am experiencing a phenomenon."

anyway, my day and year has been horrible.

but rent is cool.

and so is will's plane. it reminds me of the toilet paper tube planes i used to make in middle school g&t class. ...not...that you're plane is equivalent to...toilet paper tubes...

my dreams never feel more real than real life. for some odd reason my dreams are all really surreal. *shrug*

good luck to everyone taking finals.

eh... APs are overrated. don't worry about it... they're nice to have, but that's only sometimes. half the ones i took were useless/didn't do much. everything will be a-ok.

now what's REALLY bad are finals. actually... they're not. strangely, i'm not feeling an overwhelming burden to study. that's good i suppose, but i'm not doing a good job of reviewing. but i'm too distracted to care.

like during the physics exam yesterday... the only thing going through my head were these songs from "rent." gosh, how strange is that? it was playing so loud in my head that i don't even remember what the exam was on... maybe that's a sign that i should sleep.. =P i wasn't really thinking on my math exam either... ah well.

at least my design project went pretty smoothly. click here for pictures of Alaara. i made the outer fuselage, wing/engine components, and the bathroom door. =) oh, alaara means "dream thunder" in an african tribal language. it's a low-boom supersonic business aircraft that can fly mach 2.25 at an altitude of 6000 ft. with a range of 4500 nautical miles. anyways... finals are almost over. i'm not sure if i should be happy though... it means no more studying... but it also means no more seeing ppl i know. *sigh*

have any of you ever felt that your dreams were more real than real life?

sounds like you've been stuck in a moment you can't get out of- but still, congratulations will! you're such a role model, for finishing the first year of college and all.

it's may! a little over a month until graduation! well, i guess 1 month since june doesn't really count, does it? =)
